About Us

Personalized service,  quality custom-designed jewelry and jewelry repair are what keep customers coming back to Brothers Jewelers in Richland, Washington. Brothers Mark and Scott Smith are JA Certified Senior Bench Jewelers. The purpose of this certification is to establish national standards for evaluating the talents and proficiencies of bench jewelers and their commitment to professionalism. They are the only two in the state to have achieved this certification. Mark’s wife, Pamela, is a GIA Graduate Gemologist and also works at the store. Using her skills and knowledge of gemstones,  she assures accurate grading and evaluation of the beautiful diamonds and gemstones they sell. She also manages the office and, as a sales person, is usually the first one to greet their customers.

The brothers established their business in 1980, after graduating from Ray Schows School of Diamond Setting in Portland, Oregon. From there, they continued their education over the years with various classes and seminars. They added the latest in jewelry technology in 2004, when they purchased a Rofin Laser Welder. This device opened many doors of possibility in design and repair. The most recent of their advancements has been graduating from the Gem Vision Cad/Cam School in Moline, Illinois.  They now design jewelry using Matrix computer assisted design software, and  mill out the design using their Revo wax mill. Their abilities as designers and accomplished goldsmiths allow them to do everything from ring sizing to designing detailed custom pieces in their workshop, all of which is completed on site.

Mark and Scott take pleasure in creating one-of-a-kind pieces and restyling existing pieces of jewelry. They encourage customers to have a part in the design process, thus giving more of a special touch to their finished piece of jewelry.
For service you can depend on and jewelry worthy of passing down to future generations, come to Brothers Jewelers, where you can speak to the jewelers doing your work.
